Education & Child Protection

Empowering Children with Learning, Safety, and Hope

Education is not just a right — it is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. At Pradan Foundation, we recognize that vulnerable children, especially in rural and tribal areas, face numerous barriers to accessing quality education and protection. Through our Education & Child Protection programme, we work to ensure every child learns, thrives, and lives in a safe environment.

We combine academic support, life skills, protection from exploitation, and community participation to create a nurturing ecosystem for children to grow into confident, capable individuals.

Our Objectives

  • Ensure access to quality education for rural, tribal, and marginalized children

  • Reintegrate school dropouts and prevent child labor and trafficking

  • Strengthen community and institutional child protection systems

  • Promote holistic development through nutrition, hygiene, and life skills

Education for All

We run a variety of inclusive education initiatives for children from underserved communities:

  • Bridge Courses to bring out-of-school children back into mainstream education

  • Coaching & Tutorial Centers in rural areas to support weak and first-generation learners

  • Residential & Non-residential Schools for working and at-risk children

  • Scholarship support, study materials, and school supplies for economically weaker students

  • Encouragement of girls’ education and prevention of early marriage through awareness and support

Child Protection Services

Children in backward regions are often exposed to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We work to protect their rights by:

  • Preventing child labor, child marriage, and trafficking through community vigilance

  • Identifying and supporting at-risk children through regular outreach and counseling

  • Working with Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Childline, and local police to ensure legal protection

  • Organizing awareness drives on child rights, safe migration, and early intervention

School-Based Nutrition & Hygiene

A hungry or unwell child cannot learn effectively. Our interventions ensure:

  • Nutritious mid-day meals and snacks in schools and learning centers

  • Health check-ups and growth monitoring

  • Awareness on personal hygiene, handwashing, menstrual health, and environmental cleanliness

  • Distribution of sanitary pads and hygiene kits for adolescent girls

Community & Institutional Support

  • Mobilize School Management Committees (SMCs) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs)

  • Build capacity of Anganwadi workers and ASHAs for early childhood care and education

  • Conduct teacher training programs for joyful and inclusive classroom methods

  • Engage local leaders, religious heads, and youth in child-friendly campaigns

Our Impact at a Glance

  • 4,000+ children mainstreamed into schools through bridge and support classes

  • 300+ school dropouts brought back into the formal education system

  • 600+ children protected from child labor and trafficking

  • Hygiene & nutrition education reached 10,000+ students

  • 150+ adolescent girls empowered through menstrual hygiene awareness

Shaping a Safer, Smarter Generation

At Pradan Foundation, we see each child as a torchbearer of tomorrow. By investing in their education and safety today, we are lighting up the future of entire communities. Our mission is to ensure no child is left behind — in school, in protection, and in opportunity.
