At Pradan Foundation, we believe that every individual deserves dignity, security, and a safe environment—especially those who are often neglected by society. Our Social Welfare & Shelter Homes initiative focuses on supporting the homeless, elderly, widows, women in distress, abandoned children, and persons with disabilities through shelter, care, and social rehabilitation.

We work to build a society where no one feels alone, unsafe, or uncared for.

Core Objectives

  • Provide safe, dignified, and supportive shelter to marginalized individuals

  • Rehabilitate vulnerable people through counseling, health care, and vocational support

  • Ensure legal, medical, psychological, and emotional assistance to women and children in crisis

  • Create a network of community-based welfare services for long-term social inclusion

  • Promote awareness and accessibility to government welfare schemes

Shelter Services Offered

1. SWADHAR Greh for Women in Crisis

  • Temporary and long-term shelter for women survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, or abandonment

  • Legal aid, trauma counseling, medical care, and rehabilitation support

  • Training in tailoring, handicrafts, and food services to promote self-dependence

2. Old Age Homes & Senior Welfare

  • Dedicated residential facilities for elderly people without family support

  • Health check-ups, physiotherapy, cultural activities, and peer companionship

  • Sensitization programs on elder rights and elder abuse prevention

3. Short-Stay Homes for Children

  • Safe, nurturing environment for abandoned, orphaned, or lost children

  • Nutritious food, healthcare, schooling, and emotional well-being

  • Reunification with family where possible or integration into long-term homes

4. Shelter for Widows and Single Women

  • Focused support for widowed, deserted, or unmarried women from rural and tribal regions

  • Emotional care, legal awareness, and support to start livelihood activities

5. Multi-Facility Centers & Daycare

  • Facilities for differently-abled persons, elderly, and children

  • Daily care, rehabilitation therapy, and health/nutrition services

  • Community daycare for working mothers and vulnerable children

Holistic Social Welfare Services

  • Counseling & Psychosocial Support – Individual and group therapy, stress management, grief counseling

  • Legal Aid & Awareness – Workshops on rights, entitlements, and redressal mechanisms

  • Health Camps & Mobile Clinics – Regular check-ups and medical services for shelter residents

  • Vocational Training – Tailoring, art, cooking, and other trades to prepare residents for independent living

  • Rehabilitation & Mainstreaming – Social reintegration, home restoration, and job placement support

Impact Snapshot

  • Over 800 individuals provided with shelter and safety since inception

  • 150+ women rehabilitated through SWADHAR homes and vocational training

  • 300+ senior citizens supported through old-age care services
